Ibiza is a small island off the coast. It is known as the place for clubbing in Europe and starts in the afternoon and does not stop until dawn. It also has lots to do for families. Many resorts have play areas just for kids and the beaches have lots of sports to enjoy. See the white buildings of the villages, the 2,000 year old salt flats, and the Hippy markets.

The main tourist attractions in Spain highlight its music and dance, as in Flamenco music and dance found in Andalucia. Its bullfights, as in the town of Ronda that has a bullfighting museum and the oldest bullring in the country. The bull run of Pamplona is known worldwide. About one million people arrive each year to watch the running with the bulls that ends with bullfights. It is part Pamplonas San Fermin Festival that occurs in July. The beaches are located to the north and south. To the south is the Mediterranean Sea and to the north is the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches of the north tend to be more rocky. The Austurias area in the north is ideal for surfing. The top beaches are Costa del Sol to the south, Costa Brava near Valencia, San Sebastian a city beach, The Balearic Islands and Costa Verde.

Another part of the Spain travel advice is to visit one of its beautiful castles. These show the changes in history and who was in power when. Besides the castles there are towers and fortifications. When visiting, be aware that there is a mid day break that is from 2:30 to 5:00 each day where everything is closed, so do not expect to do any shopping during that time.

Spain Travel Information

Article by Jason A. Martin

Before you pack your bags and head off to Spain, here’s some great travel information. Knowing the climate and when to go can make all the difference in the world.

The Climate

There’s nothing worse than taking a dream vacation and getting blindsided by poor weather. It would be foolish to just rush off to Spain without knowing what the conditions will be like once you arrive.

Did you know that Spain’s summers typically reach 90-100?F? If you don’t like the warm to hot weather, stay away from Spain during the months of June, July and August. The main points of interest may get a bit unbearable for you. However, air conditioning is commonplace in the hotels.

May and October, which are just before and after the summer, make great times to visit Spain. The Falls are beautiful.

Key Travel Tip

Here’s a great Spain travel tip for you. If you hate overcrowding and love the beaches, don’t visit Spain in July or August. During these two months, the Mediterranean Sea is perfect for enjoyment. Herds of tourists and locals flock to the beaches to enjoy it. It’s a seasonal event.

Since many locals hit the beaches, you might find shops closed or operating minimally. The Mediterranean Sea isn’t great for swimming in many months out of the year, so many look forward to these couple of months each year.

Planning

Spain offers many festivals throughout the year. A popular one is the Fiesta De San Fermin. You probably know one of its events–the running of the bulls. Pamplona is a special place each July.

Do some research and plan your trip around a festival that you would really love to see.

Spain Travel Deals – Why Choose a Smaller Hotel

Article by Dan McClellan

If you’re planning to visit Spain, among the first things you are likely to search for are Spain travel deals for hotel accommodation. One of the biggest hindrances for holiday planners is often the fact that the high price associated with a hotel stay can be a big limiting factor when deciding where to go. Many travelers from outside of Europe find that exchange rates can make prices especially high for them.

If however you would like to visit Spain, I do have some good news for you that might help you make your travel plan a reality. First of all, you have it in your favor that Spain does tend to be noticeably cheaper than many other western European destinations. There is much more to saving than this however. What I want to suggest to you, is that when looking for the best Spain travel deals, you should consider a smaller privately run hotel. Sure the big name hotel chains can make for a nice holiday in Spain. You may indeed get more amenities with them, and they are often likely to have a few more options in terms of the kind of room you can book.

With all that in mind, I have found in my travels that there are some definite advantages to the smaller private hotels.

Firstly, because these establishments are often not able to offer all the extras that a larger establishment might, they tend to compete with hotel chains mainly in terms of price. I have often found good Spain travel deals at well maintained centrally located hotels throughout Spain. Even though I may not have gotten as many extras at these kinds of places, I have often found low cost rooms close to some of the best attractions in Spain. Now, if you have traveled extensively, you have probably noticed that the most popular hotels, which are close to big name tourist attractions, are often thepriciest. So, if you want be within easy reach of tourist areas, a small private hotel may be the way to gofor you.

Also, keep in mind that if you do get a room in a small, ideally located hotel, you will also save money on transportation, as you will often be able to walk to sightseeing destinations. Also, you will save valuable time when you don’t have a commute, allowing you to see more of Spain.

Another often overlooked reason that small hotels can represent the best Spain travel deals for your stay is that they can offer a lot in the way of atmosphere. With some large hotel chains, I feel that there is often a kind of corporate impersonal feel. In a country like Spain, you can have a truly great experience by staying in a place with a lot of local atmosphere and influences. In certain areas of Spain such as the Andalucia region, you will find some fantastic architecture, and an overwhelming uniqueness that makes for a very enriching experience. Small hotels often have a personal touch that can really make your experience feel uniquely Spanish.

So, the next time you are surfing the internet for the best Spain travel deals, be sure to have a look at what smaller hotels have to offer in terms of both price and atmosphere.

Article by Karen Hammond

Have you considered a Murcia Holiday. Spain will always be a popular destination for holiday makers, especially Europeans, but some tend to stick to the well trodden routes of Marbella on the Costa Del Sol or the Northern area of Benidorm. But have you considered a Murcia Holiday?Murcia is seen as a relatively new destination and offers the cultural aspects of Spain with a thriving traditional city full of ornate churches, a central cathedral & a stunning river that runs through the centre of the city. To the South East of the city you can drive for 30 mins and be in a beautiful costal location at the famous Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is essentially a sea lagoon with a delicate sandy bottom, at its deepest point the ocean reaches 20 metres deep, but on the coastal areas you can wade out up to 600 metres and still only be thigh deep into the water, this makes the Mar Menor ideal for families with children who can play on the sandy shores and wade safely into the water with little current and tidal flows. If water sports are your thing you can sail, windsurf, kitesurf, charter a yacht or just laze and sun bathe on the sunny beaches with no football shirts or kiss me quick hats in sight! Fantastic! The Mar Menor has a promenade that follows the shoreline for miles you can walk, bike ride, run or stroll along it at whatever pace you desire. If you want to stay in a location to experience the city and the coast then why not consider the La Torre Golf Resort. The region is fast becoming a mecca for golfing fanatics with many designer courses and La Torre is no exception with its 18 hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. With modern apartments, 24 hour security , swimming pools and many additional onsite facilities La Torre is 10 minds Drive from the Mar Menor and 20 mins drive from Murcia.
