Cruise Ship Honeymoons

Article by Burt Cotton

Each year, thousands of couples make the decision to get married. If you are planning on becoming one of those individuals, then it is likely that you and your new spouse will plan a honeymoon. When it comes to selecting a honeymoon destination, you have a number of options to choose from.

Honeymoons are often thought of as vacations. In a way, the only difference between a family vacation and a honeymoon is romance and the lack of children. Honeymoons are supposed to a fun, exciting, memorable, but private time. Instead of vacationing with the whole family, a honeymoon often only involves the bride and groom.

As previously mentioned, you have a number of different options when it comes to planning your honeymoon. Many newlyweds schedule their honeymoons at popular beaches, ski resorts, or other secluded areas. Did you know that you can also have a honeymoon aboard a cruise ship? Cruise ships are increasing in popularity, but still many individuals do not consider them as a vacation option.

One of the reasons why cruise ships are rarely thought about when selecting a vacation destination, let alone a honeymoon, is because of their cost. It is no secret that cruise ship tickets are expensive, but this cost should not prevent you from having the perfect honeymoon to go along with the wedding of your dreams. If you are concerned with the cost, you may want to try obtaining discount cruise ship tickets.

Most discount cruise ship tickets can easily be found online or with the assistance of a travel agent. Discount cruise ship tickets are nice, but they are often hard to come by. Discount cruise tickets are sought after by many newlyweds and other vacationers. If by chance you do come across discounted tickets, you are urged to purchase them while you still have the chance.

Even if you must pay full price for the cruise of your dreams, it is likely that you will still receive a good deal. Despite the large cost of tickets, it is important to examine the activities available onboard and the length of the cruise. The longer the cruise and the more services available, the more expensive tickets are likely to be. If you take the time to figure out all the services that are included and the cost of overnight accommodations, you may see that cruises aren’t all that expensive after all.

Once you have made the decision to spend your honeymoon aboard a cruise ship, you will have to book reservations. As mentioned above, if you are looking to save money on your honeymoon, you are encouraged to search for discounted cruise ship tickets. If money is not an option, you may want to search for cruise ships that have romantic settings and romantic destinations. When examining cruise ship destinations, you may want to take into consideration the possibility for romance at each destination. Since your honeymoon is supposed to be a romantic and relaxing time, you will want to select an environment that will keep those feelings alive. Cruise ship destinations are located all around the world. Popular destinations include Alaska, Hawaii, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Mexico. To find the perfect honeymoon cruise, you are encouraged to select a cruise that offers stops at destinations of your choice.

In addition to taking cruise ship destinations into consideration, you are also encouraged to examine the type of cruise that you wish to set sail on. Multiple cruise lines have ships that are targeted to specific groups of individuals. These cruises often include cruises for adventure lovers, the whole family, or couples. As a couple, you should be welcome on any cruise. If you are looking for a private, romantic, and intimate setting, you may want to avoided cruises that are targeted for family vacations.

Before booking your honeymoon trip on a particular cruise ship, you are urged to examine want you want and need out of your trip. Doing so will enable you to select the perfect cruise ship for you and your new spouse.

Find Out The Advantages Of Traveling On Cruise Ships

Article by Joe Goertz

A cruise ship can be likened to a floating palace. It can afford the traveler an opportunity to relax, enjoy the ocean breeze and escape the rigors of everyday life. However, a cruise ship is also a place where one can gamble, dance the night away, and indulge in some masterfully prepared food.

As far as cruise ships go, variety is the key word. Some cruise ships are small and intimate, with room for only about 500 passengers. Then there are cruise ships so large that you could virtually get lost on them, and they can accommodate upwards of 4,000 passengers. Each cruise ship has its own special amenities and features, so before booking your cruise you will need to decide what type of trip you are looking for and do a bit of research.

Larger cruise ships will of course have more to offer than the smaller cruise ships. Those cruise ships that can accommodate thousands and thousands of passengers feature such amenities as personal choice dining. This option allows you to choose between casual, traditional, or specialty menus. Many cruise ships also have full service restaurants aboard, as well as exquisite dining rooms. The entertainment options on large cruise ships is also quite varied; choose from plush nightclubs, live bands, big screen movies, live theater as well as swanky casinos.

If you prefer to stay active during your time on the cruise ship, many of them offer 9 hole putting courses, jogging tracks, various swimming pools and spas, yoga classes as well as work out gyms. After a day full of activity, you can wind down by taking advantage of the ships’ library, or by browsing through the art gallery, as many larger cruise ships have on display beautiful art collections.

If you are a die-hard shopper, you will certainly be able to indulge on a cruise ship. Many of them feature glorious boutiques that carry upscale, name brand clothing and gift items. Shop for jewelry, perfume, or maybe a special souvenir for that friend you left back on dry land!

The room options aboard a cruise ship will leave you wondering; suite with a balcony, ocean view or interior room, family suite, mini-suite or a grand suite? The possibilities seem endless. Furthermore, you can also rest assured that in the unlikely event that should you become injured or ill while aboard the cruise ship, there is always a licensed medical doctor aboard, as well as a trained medical staff.

Another cool thing about cruise ships is that they go just about anywhere you could possibly imagine. While enjoying your journey, you will probably have the opportunity to travel ashore as the cruise ship docks and allows time for day trips. A cruise ship can be a wonderful way to spend a vacation, and with so many options, you will be able to find a cruise ship that offers exactly what you are looking for.

Your Adventure Awaits On A Cruise Ship

Article by Chonticha Marijne

When most of us think of the words cruise ship, we envision the Love Boat or the Titanic. Well, not all the time, but often that’s the first thing that comes to mind. Actually, a cruise ship doesn’t have to be that big, and many countries have their own cruise ship lines. A cruise ship is also called a luxury ship, but that doesn’t mean that only rich people can sail on her. You may not find Gopher or Doc on board, but a cruise ship offers a unique way to travel at a slower pace so that you get to know your fellow passengers and are able to intermingle at various venues provided by cruise ship activity and entertainment directors. Airline or train travel doesn’t allow for such pleasures, nor does driving. For anyone who hasn’t been on a cruise ship, adventure awaits!

A cruise ship is also called a passenger ship and is used for those seeking a pleasure voyage to various destinations around the world, from Tahiti to Rio, to the Canary Islands and Hong Kong. Today, a cruise ship line offers the best in travel comforts and perks. With a cruise ship, the entertainment on board is as important as the ultimate destination, and most cruise ship lines will make sure to schedule exciting events that will entertain various age groups.

The very first cruise ship built expressly for the purpose of transporting vacationers from Point A to Point B was called the Prinzessin Victoria Luise. She was built in 1900. So began the age of transatlantic transportation that hit a rough spot after the sinking of the Titanic. Following that accident, Albert Ballin, the manager of Hamburg-America Line, made it a point to send his cruise ship captains across the North Atlantic is the worst winter weather to prove that the ill-fated sinking of the queen of all liners was not the norm, but rather an isolated incident. He succeeded, and other shipping lines followed his example.

A cruise ship is equipped to withstand bad weather and is capable of sailing great distances to exotic ports of call or down your country’s coastline. One of the most popular cruise ship destinations for world travelers is the Alaskan cruise, which offers delighted passengers sights and sounds that can’t be seen anywhere else.

There are many different kinds of cruise ship, and some are large, which others are only moderately so. Most come with affordable small to medium sized cabins, and a cruise ticket will generally include all the food and entertainment on board as well as tickets to events or locations listed on the ships port of call sightseeing lists. A cruise ship offers hotel style living, fine dining and even theatrical entertainment all in one place. Some cruise lines offer a cruise ship geared more toward the younger crowd, like Disney, while others offer nothing but exquisite elegance. Which cruise ship you choose will not only depend on your tastes, but your pocket book as well.

The first of the four ships to set sail at 16:00 hours was ‘Princess Cruises’ “Grand Princess” from Berth 38/The ‘QEII’ Terminal. Also, ‘Royal Caribbean International’s “Independence of the Seas” surprised everyone by leaving Berth 101/The ‘City’ Terminal thirty minutes earlier than planned. This ship usually departs at 16:30. Then at 16:30, “Aurora” cast off her moorings from Berth 106/The ‘Mayflower’ Terminal but had to go up to the Turning Point by the KGV drydock due to her being moored starboard-side to. Finally, whilst “Aurora” was turning, “Azura” departed from Berth 46/The ‘Ocean’ Terminal.

While family themed cruise ships are often considered the most popular of all cruise ships, they are not the only themed cruises available.

Cruise

If a ship has dance hosts or dance-themed cruises, it is probably serious about attracting dancers. Sometimes dance-themed cruises are so popular with dancers that you can’t find a spot on the dance floor. Decide if you want a dance-themed cruise, a cruise dance tour, or just good opportunities to dance onboard. With the prices that a themed cruise can be had for these days they fall into the cheap vacation goal of most travelers these days. The Availability Of Cruise Ship Jobs

Article by Nicole Scott

There are many different types of cruise ship jobs available, so if you are looking for constant traveling, fun and adventure, you should find it easy to find a job on a cruise ship that is perfect for you. In the competition for passengers, ocean liners added many luxuries most famously seen in the Titanic, but also available in other ships such as fine dining, well-appointed staterooms, and so forth. Excluding this exception, the ocean liner transport business crashed. Very few cruise ships have been built by other shipyards; many of these exceptions are old ocean liners, many of them still operating under steam power.

Jobs

The list of optional cruise ship employment is so long and varied that everyone is sure to find at least one position that suits them. The list of optional cruise ship jobs is incredibly substantial, including that of: able seaman entry level, activity coordinator, administrative assistant, aerobics instructor, fitness instructor, assistant bar manager, assistant cabin steward or stewardess, assistant casino manager, assistant chief housekeeper, and assistant cruise director.

There are many different forms of cruise ship employment available, everything from a waiter or waitress to a nail technician or nurse. If you are searching for a career that offers fun, excitement, and adventure, cruise ship employment is an excellent consideration. These elements alone are enough the lure the most timid onto an island cruise. But add in beautiful sands, in shades of brilliant white to jet black, seas in shades of blue that one must feel to understand, and the embrace of the sun and it is impossible to resist island cruises.

Jobs

With an extremely high turnover rate, there is a constant need for people to fill cruise ship jobs. Since a cruise ship is basically a floating city, there are numerous positions available on a regular basis. However, for the most part, six months is about the average span for cruise ship jobs. Since there could be representatives from as many as 30 or more countries on any given cruise ship, getting one of the cruise ship jobs is sometimes time consuming and difficult. Cruise ships and ocean liners also have cabins for the passengers. Most people do not consider cruise ship jobs as life-long cruise career, some crew members get promoted, change ships or cruise lines, go on vacation, return to school, or just settle down back on land.

Cruise ships are designed for luxurious rides and comfort for the passengers. There are many opportunities within the constantly growing cruise industry, and as a cruise line employee you will have the fantastic opportunity to travel and see the world. Regardless of your nationality or previous employment experience there are cruise jobs for you aboard the hundreds of cruise ships operating all over the world. Cruise ship jobs are in fact so addictive, that many crew members find it quite difficult to live on land after completing a contract aboard a cruise liner.
