Home to Eurostar – the high speed rail link between London and continental Europe – St Pancras has had a massive, beautiful ?800million face lift and is as much a meeting, cultural and shopping destination as a train station. The south side of the station falls onto the Euston Road, which is now being renovated back into a great hotel – The Midland Grand. All in all, it’s a truly buzzing, happening area and a brilliant place to look for Cheap Hotels in London. This district is not only central it has its own list of attractions – the London Canal Museum, the Foundling Museum and the British Library to name but a few. It is also a top place to party, folk flock to King’s Cross to hang out at the Big Chill House, Clockwork and Egg. A little like St Pancras the Arriva Hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment programme and has revealed itself as one of the quality, well equipped, cheap hotels in London. Brilliantly positioned for the station, The British Library, Coram’s Fields and all the delights of the West End – The Arriva is great budget accommodation choice for this area. A new comer to the area and a welcome addition to London’s list of cheap hotels list is the Albion House Hotel on the lovely Argyle Square, literally around the corner from King’s Cross. The hotel is privately owned and run with each bedroom featuring its own unique contemporary style. There are 13 spacious en suite hotel bedrooms, all reasonably priced. Islington lies to the north of King’s Cross and is one of London’s most salubrious districts and not normally fertile ground for cheap hotels. Jury’s Inn Islington is however an exception to this rule. Located on Pentonville Road, Jury’s Inn is a great budget hotel in a great area.
